Are you a therapist or pyschologist?
No, I am not a certified therapist, pyschologist or pyschiatrist. I am a certified coach in a variety of areas, including trauma and stress. However, I have a lot of personal and professional experience navigating health systems and can support you to seek pyschological support in the form of therapy or otherwise if that is of interest to you during our coaching sessions.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy treats mental illness through clinical and pyschological care and is provided by trained mental health professionals. Coaching strengthens your mental health and wellness through evidence-based behavior change practices.
Coaching is NOT a substitute for therapy, even if it may feel therapeutic and healing. If you are struggling with your day to day due to a mental health condition, such as generalized anxiety disorder, therapy is the best place to start.
Therapy and coaching can occur in parallel and compliment each other very well, or they can occur separately. For example, if you have generalized anxiety disorder and are feeling burnt out, you may seek therapy for your anxiety AND coaching to support you to overcome burnout.
I don’t have PTSD. Is trauma-informed and sensitive coaching relevant for me?
Throughout life, we experience traumatic events. It is normal. That does not however mean that we will develop PTSD. Trauma informed and sensitive coaching ensures that any and all stress and trauma related experiences (regardless of scale) is treated with empathy and understanding. It works to avoid and work through potential triggers as well as how the past is impacting your present (and potentially future!). We will achieve your goals, all the while maintaining a balanced, healthy nervous system and overall full life!

What is burnout and how do I know if I am burnt out?
Burnout is a state of mental and or physical exhaustion due to long term stress and or anxiety. It can be due to career related stress, but usually it goes deeper than that. It is more than just feeling overwhelmed. You might be finding it much more difficult to remember things, experiencing more pain in your body than usual, having frequent heart palpitations, sound and light sensitivity, or perhaps feeling angry, inpatient, and frustrated at all kinds of situations and people! Finding joy in daily life is difficult, you are just trying to survive the day, maybe even the minute. Read more about burnout here or check out my instagram’s Sunday Symptoms Series here (starting mid April 2024). I share and discuss a new burnout symptom every Sunday - including my own personal experience (if applicable).
If you suspect burnout, take the free assessment here - I will send you results within a week to share with you where you are on the burnout scale according to the burnout assessment tool. The assessment is completely free and does not subscribe you to anything with LiFE Coaching. It will take you about 15 to 20 minutes to complete and is worth the investment of your time. The results can also be used to share with a doctor should you decide to seek health care support for your burnout.
Do I need a formal diagnosis from a health professional to work with you?
Absolutely not! Diagnoses may not be possible or wanted for a number of reasons. What is most important is how you feel and what you want to achieve. You may have been through some traumatic events but do not fulfill the criteria for PTSD, that does not mean that trauma sensitive and informed coaching would not be helpful for you. You may feel close to burnt out but not yet there, we can work together to avoid burnout. You may live in a country that has difficulty or challenges in diagnosing burnout/ adrenal fatigue / chronic fatigue. You may not wish to have a diagnosis because it is either not important to you or does not feel right to you personally. Whatever your story is, it is okay. Let’s chat to see if one of the coaching programs feels right for you!
What are the different costs of your coaching services?
Cost varies based on programmatic element, your individual needs and adjustments to the program. The investment cost of coaching services start from 225 USD. If that feels too much, you can purchase a self-paced course (coming soon)! Set up a free 30 minute consultation to discuss what program or course may be best for you and receive a free quote.
Why do your stress and burnout prevention and recovery programs have a commitment requirement of 3 or more months?
Change doesn’t happen overnight. The programs are designed to support you make changes that are sustainable over long term. Tools and resources are shared to support you during and beyond your coaching journey.
